[UPLAY] Verify files

Introduction

Sometimes game files can become corrupt or create issues. Especially after incomplete downloads/installation or game updates, problems can start occurring.

If you have issues in your game or it lags a lot, the first troubleshooting step is to repair your game (aka verify game files). This process synchronizes the installation files with the files on the Ubi server and repairs faulty or missing files. This process can download data but compared to reinstalling the game, it has the advantage of not having to download the entire game again.

Steps

You need an active Internet connection. The process can take a few minutes depending on your connection. The progress is constantly shown though. If the process starts to hang, it’s best to click on Cancel or if that doesn’t work, shot down UPlay and try again.

To verify your files, follow these steps:

Method 1

  1. Open UPlay and log in
  2. Click on the tab Games and right-click on the desired game
  3. Click on Verify files

Method 2

  1. Open UPlay and log in
  2. Click on the tab Games and click on the desired game
  3. Click on Properties – Verify files in Local Files.

Continue for both methods

  1. Click OK on the UAC window
  2. Wait until the process has finished and then confirm with OK
